During July 2012 Phoenix-Fly organised the 2nd Artistic Flight Meet at Moorsele, Belgium.

After the first spontaneous meeting last year at Schaffen (see vimeo.com/28060095) the decision was made to repeat the event and build on what was accomplished.

Spike Harper and Jarno Cordia organised a small group of experienced wingsuit pilots and set up a number of multi-point formations. Spike flew base on the jumps in the Phoenix-Fly Shadow while Jarno carved around the formation in his Phoenix-Fly Havok. Check out this short teaser for a longer video coming soon.

Exploring the more agile side of wingsuit flying, the Phoenix-Fly 'Need4Speed' team takes to the mountains to put their skydiving background to work in the BASE environment. Flying their wingsuits on the belly, back and even carving around on the side, they put together an acrobatic display with bright orange trails of smoke.

A first small step towards our bigger artistic flying plans for the 2014 season. We're only getting started!

Phoenix-Fly - Venom Power

Phoenix-Fly proudly introduces the new Venom Power Wingsuit.

The Phoenix-Fly Venom Power is a high performance wingsuit for skydiving and BASE jumping.
It has been designed and built for maximum free fall times, whilst giving great forward speed, and unparalleled glide.

For skydivers, the suit is a great tool for distance and time competitions, XRW or simply enjoying long skydives cruising past the clouds. For BASE jumping, the suit is designed for short starts, giving great glide as well as offering lots of storage space for those more demanding alpine jumps. A smooth leading edge, thin wing profile, and low drag optimization make the suit easy to fly, with a high level of agility.
The addition of the exclusive Phoenix-Fly Fins give the suit a real edge for jumps demanding the highest levels of control with steep banking and carving turns. The arm wing and tapered sleeve design allow for a good accessible pull, making it suitable for use with normal BOC deployment.
The Venom Power is available in a wide range of colors and options, including our lightweight fabric, action camera mounting hole and 5.10 BASE soles.
Due to the large wing surface area the Venom Power is not suitable for low experience pilots.
We advise a minimum of 250 wingsuit jumps for those interested in flying the Phoenix-Fly Venom Power.

Atair - OSP

ATAIR OSP

The ATAIR OSP is a BASE canopy specifically designed for sub-terminal deployments.
The design has been optimized for both slider down and slider up jumps where quick inflation and good on heading performance are key.

With its fantastic glide, and fast and predictable opening characteristics at lower airspeeds, the OSP is a great canopy choice for wingsuit BASE jumping.

Like all Atair products, the OSP is reinforced in all the critical areas. The bottom vented MDV system is standard, meaning better pressurization during openings as well as at lower flying speeds.

Due to the innovative slat system and ZP leading edge, the canopy maintains a good range of control and response to steering inputs during deployment as well as in deep breaks.

The OSP is available in a wide range of colors and options including our special lightweight fabric.

Phoenix-Fly - Havok Carve

$

The Phoenix-Fly Havok Carve is the number one choice for all wingsuit pilots with power and agility in mind. A big suit in performance, but a small suit in terms of handling. It has been designed primarily for high power acrobatics and camerawork, but the suit also offers great range and ability in BASE jumping giving quick and clean starts, smooth flying, an easy pull and a great performance envelope.

Tested to extremes by experts in acrobatic and agile flying, the Havok Carve has been designed with safety and controllability in mind. Giving the pilot full control, regardless of orientation, the suit offers sharp flying and with fine tuned inflation it has been key in making modern day flying and carving techniques possible.

In acrobatics the Havok Carve is the number one choice for experienced pilots. For backflying the suit is unparalleled in range, and has become the go-to suit in terms of high power acrobatics.

For BASE jumpers, the Havok Carve has one of the easiest pulls possible due to its no-gripper design, and features lots of customizable options suited to alpine jumping. It comes standard with a tail wing stash pocket, which can stash hiking gear on BASE jumps, or function as a pocket for a padded seat cushion on long plane rides up.

The Havok Carve is available in a wide range of colors and options, including action camera mounting hole and 5.10 BASE soles.
We advise a minimum of 80 wingsuit jumps for those interested in flying the Phoenix-Fly Havok Carve.

Phoenix-Fly - Vampire Race

$
0
0

The Vampire Race has been designed for pilots who want the maximum proximity flying performance combined with high powered glide. The Vampire-Race is a high performance continuation of the tried and tested Vampire series.

The wing profile on the Vampire-Race has been optimized to allow maximum glide, while still having the same free range of movement and agility Vampire users are used to.
For BASE jumping, the suit is designed for short starts, giving great glide making it the ideal choice for performance races. It also offers lots of storage space for those more demanding alpine jumps. A smooth leading edge, thin wing profile, and low drag optimization make the suit easy to fly, with a level of agility not before seen in big surface wingsuits.
The addition of the exclusive Phoenix-Fly Fins give the suit a real edge for jumps demanding the highest levels of control with steep banking and carving turns. The arm wing and tapered sleeve design allow for a good accessible pull, making it suitable for use with normal BOC deployment.

Due to the large wing surface area the Vampire Race is not suitable for low experience pilots. We recommend a MINIMUM of 250 wingsuit jumps before trying the Vampire Race.

Note: Due to the Vampire Race being new in the product line, the color designer has not been updated with the patterns yet. We will have the color designer reflecting all changes in the PF product line shortly.

Additional camera by Jorn & Daniel

The Hunter is aimed at advanced wingsuit pilots who want a high performance suit for BASEjumping, XRW, camerawork and back flying. The Hunter offers a good balance of performance and fun, ideal for those looking to move into wingsuits with a bigger surface area, yet still retaining those agile flight characteristics that make the suit fun to fly. For camera pilots this suit will change the way you see big suit flying. From carving to backflying, this suit has it all.

The hunter came forth from the Ghost3 known for its agility and power. Influences from the Havok and Venom Power have led to a new suit that fits right in the middle of our intermediate and big suit range in size. Almost 1/3rd bigger than the Havok Carve.
The surface area of the Hunter was designed to offer max performance, without the drag of a long tail. With the lower portion of the armwing acting as a tail, creating the needed angle of attack for speed.
The big armwings offer a large surface area, with a tension line between wrist and the leg attachment, meaning the full wing is under control when it comes to movement and steering. Making it a great suit for big suit acrobatics. The suit can be flown with use of the grippers, but also without use of those, it offers smooth flying and trouble free inflation.
For base exits, the ability to tense up the suit to its maximum surface area even prior to inflation also enables it to have fast starts with 100% control.

The Hunter has a lots of range at the high end for when you want to fly fast and flat. Optional air locked back vents together with a carefully balanced suit, ensure excellent back flying performance.
The Hunter is also the perfect platform for camera flyers who are looking to expand their range. Be it on belly or back the suit is easy to fly, at lightning fast as well as slower forward speeds.

The Hunter is made to the same high standards as all Phoenix-Fly products, utilizing high grade materials and robust double stitching seam construction (as used for canopy manufacturing). Like all suits in the Phoenix-Fly range, The Hunter will be custom made to order, tailored to your measurements.

We advise a minimum of 200 wingsuit jumps for those interested in flying the Phoenix-Fly Hunter
